The Greatest Gym’ in The World…
Solid gold dumbells, ten-thousand-euro treadmills, a million-euro gym’ facility; probably very exciting to see, pleasing to the eye, and to a degree, can be a motivating factor.
But never forget, the value of any activity has one fundamental criterion; how does it benefit  the user?
What you’ve got in your hand doesn’t really matter. It can be any of the above or variations of them.
What’s important is what goes on in your mind, your body, and your heart, or, what’s happening underneath your skin.
For health, well-being, getting and keeping yourself well, the question to ask yourself is; how is this affecting me?
Will it help my breathing? Will it strengthen my heart? Will my lungs benefit? Will my muscle-tone improve? Is my mind involved in how I’m doing it? Is my skill improving? How do I feel when I do it?
Why ask those questions?
Because they’re the effects that need to be exerted when we practise.
And there are all sorts of ancillary activities to help bring these effects about, breathing methods, relaxation practice, mindful awareness systems, co-ordination skills; any number of simple skills that can be learned and practised in the office, the car, the kitchen, anywhere.
So, time and convenience are not objections to getting and keeping yourself in good shape.
Anyone with a bit of common sense and gumption can learn and practise the skills of being well, healthy and fit.
Cinical illness apart, there are no excuses.
The greatest gym on the planet is underneath your skin, waiting to be put to use.
