The Fourth Secret…
When you decide to do something, you stimulate resources, and abilities, within you to guide you in that direction.
Your mind, your nervous system, your physiology, all combine to focus on that outcome.
That’s the importance of Deciding.
The Action you then take brings you to your aim. That’s what brings the aim into the realm of possibility. But the Action needs to be consistent. It needs to be Repeated, learned, internalised, so that it becomes a pattern, or what we call a habit.
Then we need to check our progress. Are we in the right direction? Are we getting there? Are we using the opportunities? Could we improve it? Straighten the path? Do we need advice? Is there a better way? Do we need to dtop it all? Change direction? Bring it to a halt? Start again?
We need to EVALUATE, see how we’re doing and act accordingly. Evaluation is the key to worthwhile progress.
With Evaluation, we can then Decide to make any changes, or redouble the Action we’re already taking, and keep Repeating it, with the aim of Evaluating it again. This is the significance of DARE.
DARE encompasses the assembly of resources available to us, where ever they may be.
DARE is one of the strategies in the book currently under production.
