The Unknown Secret Value of Having Your Goal...

The real value of having a goal is not necessarily what you get by achieving it.

It’s much more than that.

The end goal is only one part. The other part, the part that contains the activity goals, is the one that really matters, impacts, and changes our lives irrevocably.

They’re the daily, hourly, minute by minute, steps of awareness that get us to to goal. They are the means by which we become who we need to be, to go where we want to go.

When we achieve any aim in life we have brought about great changes within ourselves. We have applied discipline, energy, courage, with the consistency with which we have applied ourselves.

To my mind, and in my experience of life, this has been the real benefit of establishing a goal and then committing to its achievement.

We will have become who we needed to be, to do the things that needed to be done.

Without the goal, clear, and unequivocal in our minds and in our hearts, we would not have had the experience, and yes, the pressure, to affect the necessary change.

On achievement of the goal, or Its approximation, the changes have been made within us, and they remain with us, giving us a new platform, and bright new insights, on how we can live our lives to the best of our ability.

Armed with these valuable changes and insights, we can then bring our attention to any other area in our lives and see what else we can do, great or small, for the quality of the lives we are so privileged to have available to us.

Whoever coined the phrase “success breeds success”,  must have had this perception in mind. What do you think? Any suggestions?
