Energy and How To Get It...
Personal energy is the capital we invest in ourselves and in our lives. But just like money, it needs to be available in the first place.
Personal energy comes from within. It’s a combination of how the condition of the mind and the body and for those of us who believe in it, the spirit, combine to produce the actions we need to achieve a desired result.
As a source of energy, the mind and the body need nourishment and guidance. We are all aware of the necessity of nourishing the body. That doesn’t mean that we do it, But most of us recognise the fact and how we could do it.
Nourishing the mind and the spirit is equally important. Ask anyone who has achieved a life goal. Whether it’s business, sport, the arts, or any other under taking, a life goal achievement needs attention, nourishment, intention, and a consistency of discipline.
Mental nourishment is a skill. It’s not necessarily what people think is “positive thinking“. It’s much more than that. It’s about awareness of the thoughts that need to be installed in the mind to run it in the right direction.
It’s also about the thoughts that need to be removed from the mind in order to allow that direction come into place.
Physical nourishment is a combination of a plentiful volume of oxygen in the system, an adequate amount of water in the system, and the nutritional elements from our food that help the growth maintenance and repair of that system.
You don’t have to be a nutritional encyclopaedia, or live on nuts, bananas, and multivitamins. But you do need to have some knowledge of what will help you and what will hinder you. That’s simply learned.
Some people find that what they learn doesn’t coincide with what they want. So their habits don’t support their aims, aspirations, or their goals.
As in anything, if your habits are not supporting your goals, you change either your goals are your habits. You have the choice. We all do.
All the time. And that’s what it comes down to, Doesn’t it? Habits, attitude, and invoking the power of decision and free will.
They can be helped by altering how you feel about them. A decision to achieve something may fire you up and point you in the direction. But it’s persistence and consistency that get you through the journey. Even when you lose your way, become confused, lose sight of the destination. That’s when the nourishment of mind, body, and spirit, reinforce the feelings for getting to the end.
That’s being motivated. Being moved. Stirred. Inspired. Having feelings for what you’re doing. And letting those feelings run freely in accordance with the desire.
If you haven’t thought about this for awhile, or maybe at all, read this again, once a day, for three days. Then write what it means to you, and if you have a mind to, send it in. I would love, dearly love, to read it.
Have a Great Day and Do Well..
