A couple of people asked me recently whether I have someone to whom I account.
Fair question.
There are two. One is a coach/mentor, to whom I give account of myself two or three times a year. He charges me money, and, at about five or six years my senior, commands my respect, not just for his seniority, but for his unfailing attention, helpful advice and unerring ability to hit whatever issues are pressing at the moment.
The other, I see every day. Have done, for 49 years now.
At about five years my junior, she keeps me in line, sees that I stick to my schedule, and do my best to deliver what I said I would, in whatever the context....The first one is a very private man, and would not agree to being photographed or to having his name published. He's officially retired.
The second, though reluctant, agreed to be photographed, last week, and I thought it'd be a nice gesture to show her to you.
Here she is, my Guru.
