What is it? Today's opportunity?
Is it for business? For self ? For romance? For survival?
It's a disparate set of options, isn't it?
What do YOU think your opportunity is?
Ten weeks ago we were all grateful for the opportunity to protect ourselves, even if there was no guarantee. We had the opportunity to guard our health, remain healthy, stay alive.
Not bad options when you think of what over seventeen hundred poor souls have suffered.
So, maybe we can see again from that standpoint that we're ok, we're well, and we're alive and kicking. Not a bad start.
So, that isn't a rhetorical question; what do you think your opportunity is? Look for it. Think about it with a pen in your hand. See what you can come up with. There's no right or wrong answer. Fire down a few thoughts on the paper that come into your head. See where they take you.
It's amazing what comes into your mind when you open it.
Doing a zoom meeting with a small group last week, the three participants and myself were rehearsing a Breathing Exercise when one of the men said he'd done this before.
He had done it back in the seventies when he was trying to find his way out of the curse of chronic asthma, which he did. He related how the rhythm of the breathing, and the close attention to the use of stomach muscles and the abdomen, not only cleared his asthma symptoms within four weeks, but also helped flatten the stomach, boost his metabolism, and lower his blood pressure.
He had lost the habit of the Breathing Exercises, and he missed the effect. So, there it was, right under his nose; the opportunity to renew his activity, with the added bonus of not having to learn from the start.
Once you open the mind to questions, it's like pressing 'Google' between your ears, and off it goes, that curious, inquisitive, penetrating capacity, in search of the enlightenment that it knows is there, somewhere.
When you do the first bit, your RAS (remember that?) will do the rest.
